Pin #230: Barry Bonds 700 Home Runs
I bought this pin during my first visit to AT&T Park in San Francisco. I really wanted to just get a generic ballpark pin, but they didn't have any of those. They did have this one, though, since it wasn't long after Bonds hit his 700th home run. I know a lot of people don't like Bonds and don't consider him the all time home run leader, but I don't care about any of that. He was one of the best players I've ever seen play and he might be the last person we see get to 700 home runs, so I'm glad I got to see him play and I have no problem commemorating that achievement with a pin on my board.

Pin #229: Tinkerbell
This is the fifth and final pin featured from my Walt Disney Classics Collections series. It features Tinkerbell sitting on a block. This never used to be one of my favorite pins from that collection. I always preferred the Donald and Daisy pin. But ever since my last visit to Disneyland, I view Tinkerbell a lot differently, so now I hold this pin in very regard. It really is a cute pin which appears to show her laughing.

Pin #228: Fantasia Poster
This is another pin from the 100 Years of Dreams series. This pin features the movie poster for Fantasia. I love, love, love old posters, especially movie posters. Therefore, I love this pin. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything old or retro, so when I see pins like this I want them. I'm not a huge fan of the movie Fantasia, although I do like it, but this poster pin is just plain cool.

Pin #227: New York New York Casino
I bought this pin during my first visit to Las Vegas after turning 21. I actually didn't go to Vegas immediately after I turned 21. It wasn't until six or seven months later, and went to meet my parents who were there for a work retreat. I hadn't seen many of the new hotels, so we walked around the strip to check out some of the big ones. I really liked New York New York. It has a fun atmosphere inside, so I decided to buy a pin. The pin is cool with the New York skyline framing the pin. Plus the gold and black are real classy colors.

Pin #226: Another Yosemite Pin
What do you know? Another Yosemite pin. I never realized how many Yosemite pins I actually had until I started this blog. For a place I've never actually been, I sure do have a lot of pins. I really like this one, though. It showcases the things that make Yosemite great, from hiking to bears to El Capitan. The colors really pop and it is laid out nicely. This is a pin I would have bought for myself if I had actually been to Yosemite, so I'm glad that someone bought it for me.

Pin #225: Nebraska
My grandma is a Nebraska alum and she got me this pin during one of her trips back to Lincoln for an alumni event. I've never really been a Nebraska fan despite the family connection, though. But I will proudly display the pin in honor of my grandma.

Pin #224: Chim Chim Cher-ee
This is another pin from the Magical Musical Moments series featuring a song from one of my favorite movies, Mary Poppins. The pin shows a silhouette of Bert on the rooftop in his chimney sweep attire on a red background. There were actually four different versions of this pin each with a different colored background. Those of you who know me know I always choose red. The other cool thing about this pin is that it plays the song. Well, at least it did before the battery died. Oh well, it's still a cool looking pin.

Pin #223: San Diego Zoo Giant Panda
I bought this pin during one of my first visits to the San Diego Zoo. I don't remember exactly how old I was, but I remember being a kid and being very excited to visit the zoo. Plus, the Giant Panda exhibit was relatively new so it was cool seeing the pandas. That's what inspired me to buy this pin.

Pin #222: Tuzigoot National Monument
This is another pin that I have no idea where I got it. I've never been to Tuzigoot, and honestly, I didn't even know it was in Arizona until I looked it up. I'm not even sure who gave me this pin because I've had it for awhile, but I don't remember ever talking to anyone about them going there. It's kind of a pin that just showed up on my board one day. As a pin, it's neat looking, though. Plus, Tuzigoot is a fun word to say.

Pin #221: Star Wars Episode I
I got this pin as a free gift when I bought something else related to Episode I. I can't remember if it was when I preordered the DVD or when I bought one of my posters. Either way, I know it wasn't a stand alone purchase. It's a very simple, no frills pin, and doesn't feature anything specific from the film. But it's a Star Wars pin so it gets automatic cool points.

Pin #220: 1999 Rose Bowl
This is another rather boring pin. It features a generic football player about to catch a pass. It doesn't even showcase the two teams playing in the 1999 Rose Bowl, nor does it feature the Rose Bowl logo. Again, it's a really boring pin. But it was a gift and I display it proudly.

Pin #219: 2002 Olympics
Talk about a bland, generic pin. This pin from the 2002 Olympics has no real panache. The gold logo in the middle is hard to distinguish, the colors seem random and kind of clash, and the square shape is just boring. Nevertheless, it's still an Olympics pin.

Pin #218: 2000 Rose Bowl
Weird, another Rose Bowl pin. This one hails from the 2000 Rose Bowl featuring Wisconsin and Stanford. It's a nice looking pin with the two school logos separated by a rose. Very classy. It doesn't hurt that both logos are red, really making them pop off the green background and emphasizing the red in the rose.

Pin #217: Los Angeles Dodgers MVPs
This is another Dodgers giveaway pin. This one features the three players who won MVP awards as Los Angeles Dodgers. They are Maury Wills, Sandy Koufax, and Steve Garvey. You can see their three signatures on a baseball with the title MVP on the bottom. It's a nice pin, but not one of my favorite of the Dodgers giveaways.

Pin #216: Sabino Canyon
I bought this pin during a trip to Sabino Canyon, which is a popular hiking and tourist spot right here in Tucson. The pin highlights the desert terrain with the mountains in the background and the cactus. You also have the night sky showcased up top. It's a cool pin that brings out one of Tucson's most beautiful locations.

Pin #215: Orlando Magic Pennant
I don't remember if I bought this pin or if someone gave it to me. I have two Orlando Magic pins and one was a gift and one I bought, but I can't remember which is which. I went through a phase when I was a big Magic fan. It was back during the Penny Hardaway days. This pin feels a little cluttered to me. There's just too much going on. But I do like the old school Magic logo in the upper left.

Pin #214: Oo-De-Lally!
This is another pin from the Magical Musical Moments series, and my favorite one from that series because it is from my favorite Disney movie. I absolutely love Robin Hood, so when this series was released this was the one pin that I absolutely had to have. I bought it as soon as it was released, and then got a second one as a gift. I plan on trading the extra one during my next visit to Disneyland. But this pin features the song "Oo-De-Lally" with Robin Hood and Little John taking a playful bow to one another. It's a wonderful song from a wonderful movie and I love this pin!

Pin #213: Catalina
This pin is from Catalina Island. It's an island off the coast of California, and I think everyone who grew up in southern California has been there at least once. Obviously you have to take a boat to get there, which is what is shown on this pin. I don't actually remember buying this pin myself, though. It might have been a gift. Either way, I like it.

Pin #212: Morro Bay
This is a pin from Morro Bay, featuring a sea otter. I don't recall ever going to Morro Bay or buying this pin and I don't know who might have given it to me. But the otter is cute. I like watching otters play. They seem to have a lot of fun in life. It might be nice to be an otter for a day, or longer.

Pin #211: Hispanic Americans Replica Stamp
Ahhh, another replica stamp pin. This one is honoring Hispanic Americans. I'm not sure exactly when the actual stamp was released but it was clearly when stamps were a lot cheaper. Only 20 cents! Again, I assume that this pin was part of the group of other stamp pins that I got from somebody.

Pin #210: Gold Creek Salmon Bake
This is another pin that my parents brought back for me from their Alaska cruise. I like this one. It has a cool fish drawing and it's shiny. I don't really know anything else about it, but it definitely stands out on my board because of the gold background. Again, I like it.

Pin #209: 1994 World Cup - Orlando
This pin is from the 1994 World Cup which was played in the US. I didn't actually go to any of the World Cup games that year, but I did take a family vacation to Orlando about a month before the games were played, which is where I got this pin. It's a very cluttered pin featuring the World Cup logo, the mascot, and a bunch of things that supposedly represent Orlando. I'm pretty sure this was a novelty impulse buy, or it might have even been a giveaway somewhere. I'm not entirely sure. Either way, I have a soccer pin on my board.

Pin #208: 1985 Frontierland
This pin was part of Disneyland's 30th Anniversary celebration in 1985. There was a pin released for each land in Disneyland. Those who have been following my blog know that I also have the Adventureland pin. This one recognizes Frontierland and features Pete dressed as a cowboy. This is one of the earliest pins I remember having.

Pin #207: Roma
My parents brought this pin back for me from their trip to Italy. It's from Rome, obviously, and has a profile of the Colosseum. It's a tiny pin, but it's still cool.
